Music. Thought I'd better get this particular topic out the way early. I like music. And by music I mean rock. If it isn't rock then I will pretty much dislike it. However dance 'music' is my pet peeve. The fact that it just isn't music if it isn't played by the 'artist' is where this noise first falls down. But it doesn't stop there, the way they all sound the bloody same is also a constant annoyance to me. There is also no escape from it. Wherever you go someone is playing it far too loud whether in their room or in cars, shops, bars etc.
Worst of all though - yes even worse than your usual dance - are covers of songs that should never, under any circumstances, be covered. For example Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd later covered by Scissor Sisters. I mean why? The original was perfect so why ruin it with that? There is also Kid Rock's All Summer Long - what was wrong with Sweet Home Alabama that required it to be updated?
And then, to cap it off, Eric Prydz decided to ruin one of Pink Floyd's other stand-out tracks - Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2 - with his remix Proper Education. I mean come on, leave The Floyd alone, no-one will ever be as good at their songs as them so why try?
If I ever meet Prydz I will punch him in the face or kick him in the crotch.
Probably both.
